Straight answers
Does my child need an account?
No. You create one parent account and add a profile for each child under it — a first name or nickname and a grade level. Children never sign in and are never asked for personal details.
Is this a subscription?
No. After the 7-day trial, the free plan keeps working, and the full version is a one-time purchase. Nothing renews on its own. The current price is shown in the App Store and in the app, so you always see it before you buy.
What devices does it run on?
There's a web app that runs in a browser with nothing to install, and an iPhone and iPad app that needs iOS 15.0 or later. Apple Pencil is supported on iPad. An internet connection is required, because problems are generated on the server rather than on the device.
Can my child write with a finger instead of an Apple Pencil?
Yes. The pad works with a finger on any device. A single switch above it decides whether a finger draws or scrolls the page, so a resting hand doesn't leave marks.
Is the marking ever wrong?
Problems and marking are AI-generated, and the app checks its own work to catch and correct mistakes — but it isn't infallible, and we don't claim it is. Because you can see every problem, every explanation and your child's own working, you're never asked to take a score on trust. If something looks wrong, email [email protected].
Can my child just read the answers?
Only if you let them. Step-by-step review can be left open, or locked behind the parent password so it stays a teaching tool rather than an answer key.
Is it aligned to Common Core or a national curriculum?
No. Problems are generated for the grade level you set — from 1 to 8 — and are not mapped to any curriculum standard or exam board. Numi123 is practice, not a syllabus.
What languages does it support?
Numi123 is available in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. It follows your device language, and you can change it per device in Account settings.
The practice problems and their step-by-step explanations are generated in the language you pick, so the language of the screens is the language of the maths.
How do I delete our data?
From inside the app. You can clear a single child's history, or delete the whole account and everything in it. The privacy policy sets out what's stored and for how long.
